Carl Fisher is a lifelong martial artist with over 30 years’ experience in the arts, holding black belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Applied Jiu Jitsu and Karate. In addition, Carl has extensively trained in boxing, wrestling, Judo and catch wrestling and holds a Level 1 Accreditation in catch wrestling from the Snake Pit in Wigan.

Carl’s first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition was in 1999 in Los Angeles and since then, he has competed in grappling events all over the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, Thailand, Jordan and Abu Dhabi. Carl currently teaches Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Self Protection in Wimbledon, London.

Carl has 25 years’ experience in the security sector as a Door Supervisor, working in the North West of England and currently working for the last six years in London. During his years in the security industry, Carl has worked in Response Units at Bolton Wanderers FC and Manchester City FC, crowd control and back stage security at UK wide major gigs and boxing events and at many high profile public events in and around London.

Holding a 2:1 honours degree in Sport Science and Coaching, Carl brings an elevated level of realism to his teaching, backed up with sport science education and application.
